    • I know, Carina. It has been difficult times. My father died a few months ago and I have not had the necessary encouragement to continue with my blog. But now I think it’s time to go back, in memory of him.
I am glad you like the breakfast! 🙂
      Have a nice day,
      Rafael

There is little more stunning that the sun sinking below the sea…or rising at the horizon. Captivating.

It has an impact, I often write about the sea. I have no winter-time here or snow, smiling.

I must google that. I never made it to Spain during my stay over in Europe much to my sorrow. We have a very strong spanish architectural history here, especially in St. Augustine, our oldest city, discovered by Ponce DeLeon and it is a treasure. There is a revival of old colonial Spanish taking place now particularly in South Florida, Miami and Coconut Grove. It’s very beautiful ofcourse!

      • Spain has an old history full of wondeful cities and architecture, and part of its legacy is there. Philip II, king of Spain in the Sixteen Century used to say thar “In his empire the sun never set” because when the sun was hiding in the west had returned to rise in the east. As the Spanish Empire was extended in both hemispheres: East and West, the movement of the earth around the sun caused the phenomenon. The domains of Philip II, when inheriting his father Charles V, were: European lands, African, American, Oceanic and Asian, namely: Europe: All the Iberian Peninsula, Italy: Naples, Sicily, Sardinia and Milanese, Netherlands Netherlands: The Netherlands and Belgium, Franche-Comte. Africa: Oran, Bejaia, Tunisia, Melilla, Canary Islands. Insulindia: the Philippines. Oceania: several archipelagos of Micronesia. America: From Mexico to Paraguay and Plata. !!!
Wel that was. Not now, but the architecture remains. 🙂
